Content Page Analysis 1 (Jack Burgess)

This contents page is very conventional. The main image is placed on the left hand side of the page so it gives space to what's inside the magazine. With this picture being quite large, this represents  that is the the main focus point of the magazine. The page layout follows convention as the contents of the magazine is placed and listed down the right side of the page. There is smaller image placed on the right side of the page, this may mean that this represents a smaller article/ focus point in the magazine.
The main picture is two young adults looking quite serious in facial expression however this may represent a certain background from which they have come from or maybe what they've been told do by the photographer. These two people look very fresh to the music business and may want to get recognition. In my magazine I may incorporate new artist, so the audience understands who they are whilst putting artist who have been round for a long time.
The use of colour is vital to any magazine and in "mix-mag" they've used the colours of white, black and yellow, this is too make sure that no colours clash with each other. In my magazine I'll have to make that I use the correct colour scheme to make sure it doesn't clash in anyway possible, and to make sure it suits the consumer.
The text on the page is just the right amount so that it gives the consumer enough information for them to know what is featuring in that issue but not too much that it'll bore the reader entirely.
